Happy Birthday America! Laney spent the night so in the morning we painted pictures of fireworks. Then we went to a parade in the afternoon and fireworks at night.

Bootleg Recital
It's finally recital time!!! Yay!!!! She's been practicing her "ducky dance" since Christmas and the performance was finally this past weekend. She loved dancing on "the big stage" in her costume.
The actual recital was so boring! But her 3 minutes were the best 3 minutes EVER! I've had some technical difficulty getting the video from my phone (that I inconspicuously held at my stomach to video her routine against the explicit and stated EVERYWHERE rules of no videoing)
So, without further ado, heerrrrrrre's Devyn (in case you can't tell, she's beside Emma, the "mama duck", in red. She's directly on Emma's right if we're facing the same direction as them.)

Good Times with the Blimes
My entire family was here this extended weekend. Both parents, both brothers, both sisters, 3 in-laws, and an assortment of kids. We had good time. i do have to say, in my totally unbiased opinion, I have the best family ever ever. Not just ever - EVER ever!

Here Comes Peter CottonTail
Happy Easter!!! Devyn and I took Devyn's bff and cousin Laney along with us on a train ride called the CottonTail Express that I found not too far from our town. They really had a good time, and so did I.
While we waited onboard for them to call out "All Aboard" and the train to start moving, I thought maybe they were going to burst with excitement.
Once the train got us out to the field (It was about a half an hour ride each ride) there were things to do. An Easter Egg Hunt. . .
It was about 1000 degrees!
Toy trainsets to play with. . .
And of course the Easter Bunny was there. . .
Then, on Easter Sunday we did the normal morning things -
Hunted for eggs. . .
Checked out what the Bunny brought. . .
And. . . She ate the heads off of all the Peeps chicks before she decided she didn't like them. Silly girl.
